Senior Consultant Doctors
In Obstetrics & Gynaecology (Females Only), Anaesthesia, Radiology, Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, Paediatrics, Medicine & Ophthalmology
Requirements: M.B.B.S. or equivalent plus FRCS/MRCP/MRCOG/Doctorate or equivalent with 7 years experience in the relevant field. Salary: Rials Omani 1910/- per month, with an annual increment of R.O.50/-
Senior Specialist Doctors
In Obstetrics & Gynaecology (Females Only), Anaesthesia, Radiology, Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, Paediatrics, Cardiology, E.N.T., Neurosurgery, Nephrology, & Neurology
Requirements: M.B.B.S. or equivalent with 3 years experience plus FRCS/MRCP/MRCOG/Doctorate or equivalent with 4 years experience in the relevant field, OR M.B.B.S. or equivalent, with 3 years experience plus Master's Degree or equivalent with 8 years experience in the relevant field. Salary: Rials Omani 1465/- per month, with an annual increment of R.O.40/-
Specialists
In Obstetrics & Gynaecology (Females Only), Anaesthesia, Radiology, Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, Paediatrics, Neonatologist, Medicine, Epidemiology Cardiology, E.N.T, Neurosurgery, Nephrology, General Surgery, Dermatology & Neurology.
Requirements: M.B.B.S. or equivalent, with 3 years experience, plus MD/ MS with 5 years post MS/ MD experience in the relevant field. OR M.B.B.S. or equivalent, with 3 years experience, plus 1 year postgraduate diploma or primary FRCS/MRCP/MRCOG Part 1, with 5 years experience in the relevant field. Salary: Rials Omani 705/- per month, with an annual increment of R.O.20/-
Junior Specialists
In Obstetrics & Gynaecology (Females Only), Anaesthesia, Radiology, Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, Paediatrics, Medicine, Epidemiology, Nephrology, Pathology, & Neurology.
Requirements: M.B.B.S. or equivalent, with 3 years experience, plus 1 year postgraduate diploma, OR primary FRCS/MRCP/MRCOG Part I, with 3 years post diploma experience in the relevant field. Salary: Rials Omani 520/- plus 12.5% technical allowance per month, with an annual increment of R.O.12/-
Medical Officers
In Obstetrics & Gynaecology (Females Only), Anaesthesia, Radiology, Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, Paediatrics, Medicine, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Neurosurgery, Epidemiology, & Pathology.
Requirements: M.B.B.S. or equivalent, plus 3 years experience. Salary: Rials Omani 405/- plus 12.5% technical allowance per month, with an annual increment of R.O.10/-
Contract: Family contract in case of male doctors and single contract in case of female doctors. However, suitable family accommodation will be provided for female doctors.
Benefits: include free furnished (hard furnishings only) air-conditioned accommodation, 48 days paid leave a year, business/ economy class air ticket (on initial appointment and on final exit), 75 percent of the cost of air ticket for annual leave travel once during the contractual year. Allowances will be given for transport, water and electricity and accommodation when these are not provided free by the Ministry. There is no income tax levied in Oman at the moment. Medical treatment within the Sultanate is free as per existing rules. Contracts are for one year, which are renewable annually, if agreeable to both parties.
