NOTICE:
A recent incident that occurred here on the Smut Zone has made it abundantly clear that even though most of us here are adults, some of us have forgotten the basic rules for posting on a messageboard.
So here's a little reminder:
While everyone is encouraged to 'have their say' we do not condone malicious comments made in total ignorance. Furthermore, posting comments of this nature, or any other, under another person's name is a gross misrepresentation and anyone doing so will be banned.
While I have no desire to play the role of Big Brother, I will say the following:
What you may not realise is that we CAN and DO monitor this website very thoroughly and frequently.
We know how many hits we're getting, what area visitors to the site are located in, what time they post, who their ISP is, what their IP address is, what OS and browser they're using to access the site and more.
If you do choose to post from work (as the recent offender did) and your employer has an intranet system, it will show up in our stats as your server. It's as simple as that.
The person who made the unacceptable post did so from a law firm in Dallas, Texas. (Yes, we do know which one.) They accessed the site via Internet Explorer using Windows XP on January 12th at 9:12pm GMT. The individual they were impersonating lives in New Jersey and has been notified.
