In 1995 Corsi helped launch an investment venture in Poland, which lost $1.2 million, much of it from a group of about 20 Minnesota investors.[7][8] The FBI investigated, but it did not result in any criminal charges.[7] Many investors blamed Corsi and two investors sued Corsi and his partners winning judgements.[7] However, they couldn't collect from Corsi because, as one investor explained, the money "had been moved into his wife's name . . . There was nothing to get out of him."[7] Until his 2004 book, Corsi was a financial services marketing
specialist.[9]
