My name is Bob Meier, nephew of the late Louis Meier.Several years ago I went to The Cradle of Aviation Museum at Mitchel Field---before the new buildings were even thought of and saw the Thomas-Morse Scout that was once owned by my Uncle. More recently I attended a recognition ceremony of Gruman personel. I was pleasently surprised at the new main building of the museum. When I related my story about my previous visit and inquired about Uncle Lou's Thomas-Morse I was met with blank looks and thought that was the end. Recently my cousin sent me your article "Sky Raiders" and it brought back many memories.
If you have any more information or records about my Uncle or his Thomas Morse I would more than appreciate any thing
that you might foreward to me. I was told at one time that some recordings were made of my Uncle reminiscing about the past.
I am 75 years old, living in Sandisfield, MA. I have six grandchildren who would love to know about their Grand Uncle Lou
Hope to hear from you,
BOB MEIER, 21 New Hartford Rd. Sandisfield,MA 01255. EMail is RobM3617@aol.com |
