Message:   Shepards Pie Casserole

1 pound hamburger
1 package shredded cheese (I prefer colby jack)
1 jar spaghetti sauce (like Ragu or Prego)
1 package instant potatoes (I like Betty Crocker
flavored instant potatoes)
1 can of corn or green beans (drained)
1 small onion (optional)
1 casserole dish/lasagna pan

Brown hamburger in skillet (add and cook small onion with meat), drain grease.

Add tomatoe sauce and corn or green beans then mix well, spread in casserole dish. Make instant potatoes then spread on top of meat as next layer.

Sprinkle shredded cheese as final layer, bake in oven at 350 degrees F, for 30-45 minutes, until cheese is fully melted and bubbly.

This recipe doesn't take long to make, it's hearty and left overs taste even better.

While I am cooking the meat, I also like to add spices like salt, pepper, oregano, garlic powder. Some people in my family would even add some hot sauce, they like it spicey (not be though).

Fresh bread or garlic bread is a great side to this casserole.
