women self defense class
SELF-DEFENSE COURSE FOR WOMEN DATE: February 19, 2005 TIME: 8:30 am to approximately 4:00 pm WHERE: Father Ryan Center for the arts (theater) Age APPROPRIATE: Open to juniors in high school and older WHAT IS IT: The course will teach women how to watch out for themselves in an unsafe environment; how to avoid unsafe environments; danger signs to watch for; and very basic self-defense moves for protection. COST: $50.oo per person; $90.00 for a Mother/Daughter team. Checks should be made payable to APPS, and should be brought or mailed to APPS office by Monday, February 14, 2005 in order to hold a space. WHAT TO WEAR: Comfortable clothes, such as sweats and tennis shoes. Clothing should be very modest, as physical activity is part of the program. No jewelry should be worn.
