I did talk to an islander about bringing a longboat out to our ship but he said the captain has the final say and chances that he would let only 2 out of 650 passengers go to the island are slim to none. I did ask Dennis Christian to at least bring some Pitcairn soil aboard so we could say we stepped on Pitcairn - Seems that if the islanders can get to the ship, we should be able to get to the island - but again the logistics of dealing with 650 passengers probably doesn't allow for that. I'm not up for a mutiny or for jumping ship to try to swim in!! What is the MN? Sounds like you are one of the world's few lucky people who were able to actually visit the island. I am taking my special zoom lens camera to at least get a few close up shots from the ship. I'll ask Dennis to also bring some fruit aboard!!
