Just figured out what has made a major difference in the fatigue. Amazing what you can find out when you run out of a product. Besides the diet, Calcium Magnesium Citrate along with a cup of Chamomile tea before bed makes an incredible difference. It is almost 7:00 am now! usually I have to drag myself out of bed at 10:00. Hopefully I can get back to working on this site again now. |

Does anyone have any good tips for dealing with fatigue? My mother takes a warm shower, but right before she is getting out of the shower, she turns the water on very, very cold! You always new when my mom was in the shower because you would hear the scream! she says it helps. |

I will just write to myself until more girls find this site ok The fatigue is so overwhelming sometimes. I find myself napping daily & then 12:00 midnight I have a burst of energy, not so good when you have the kids to take care of & also have a job-Hey this is not my job, just a side thing. Luckily I am the owner so no-one to reprimand me The fatigue is improving, Yes wonderful but sometimes I am just not able to function. My naturopathic Dr. says the treatment for the adrenal gland problem(caused by stress) takes 6-12 months-oh I cannot wait to be over this!!! Hey thanks for listening, even though you are reading & not posting, it is appreciated.

Hey Lori, When are you exercising? Have you tried varying the times you do that to see what your body might like best? I find that on the weekends I have tons more energy because I can workout first thing in the morning (I can't do that during the week because I leave for work at 6:45 AM). Alternately, when I workout at night I try not to make it too late so that when I get into bed all my endorphins aren't still on a high... I'm not sure that this would help, but it's a thought. By the way, saw Dr. B this week--she was great! I still have to get some things cleared with my breast specialist before I can start with naturaln treatments, but I'm ready to get going. I started my new way of eating about two weeks ago and was happy that she didn't cut out anymore food (I still get to eat fish!!!). No sweat. Melanie |

I have no solution other than sleep when it comes to fatigue! I sleep until 11am when my mum wakes me up...but i dont want to get up...then i have a 3-4 hour nap at 1pm....I have dinner at 5pm and go to bed at 6pm...but then find myself up at 12 and cant get back to sleep until 3am....grrr! Ive tried all sorts of teas, herbs, oils, aromatherapy to get me to fight the fatigue...none have worked...so ive given in and now i just sleep... Cheers Brittany |

Hi Melanie & Brittany, Gosh I am sorry that you are so tired Brittany, I hope that you can find some relief for it. I am with you on it, it is very difficult. You know It never even occured to me to that it might make a difference when I exercise. I have been trying to exercise, I used to go the the gym about 10:00pm. but now I take walks about 7:00pm. It is worth a try to see if it makes a difference-if I force myself to walk in the morning instead. When I had my adrenal glands tested, normal was that the levels go down at night, but mine stayed up. Thank You!

forgot something again. Melanie I am so glad that you like the Dr. That is so great that you have 2 Drs. looking out for you. My opinion: I think great advances can be made in regards with this disease & others by combining the medical side & the natural side. Somehow them working together - Imagine I hope it all goes well with you!

Major insight into my fatigue but the way I found out about it was not fun You know how people say "be careful what you wish for. well also be careful about what you pray for! I was praying for some answers as others were also praying for this. I figured if the fatigue keeps going up & down what is the point! I really needed to know the precise cause. So I prayed "Please Lord show me 100% what it is" I was in bed all day Sunday & then Tuesday, was quite frustrated. Then Yesterday I felt great! was up 5:00 in the morning. 12:30 the fatigue hit again & had to get to bed again. I ate as usual- as I am hypoglycemic so I eat wonderfully! then it hit me - a low blood sugar attack- shaking horribly, feeling I wanted to barf, dizzy & would rather die really. Thought about calling 911. Immediatly I took a glucose tablet & was revived. 1/2 hr. later I was even better than my normal self. No fatigue, felt great!! but of course quite unsettled from the fear... got a blood glucose monitor yesterday-oh goodness I have been walking around with my blood sugar 70-80 after eating. 50 is the magic attack #, so imagine what it was before I ate. many things coincide here-the adrenal gland fatigue relates to the low blood sugar -although I have had low blood sugar for 20 years & diagnosed with adrenal gland fatigue recently. My dr. is on vacation, but her asst. called me with advice..chromium picolonate & nuts throughout the day. anyone else with chronic faigue here? please have a blood glucose test done-you need to get at least the 3 hour test!!ask me if any ?'s about that because my problem never showed up with a normal fasting level test thru medical Drs. also get an adrenal gland saliva test! All is well now I am going to discuss all of this with my Dr & am hopeful about some resolution of this!! She can certainly give me more ways to keep my levels at least over 100 over the entire day which obviously does the trick. I felt wonderful after the glucose tablet.Praise God

Hi everyone, & welcome new girls! I will respond to some of your posts a bit later & thank you so much for posting! I have had hypoglycemia for over 20 years as everyone in my family has it, it is just that with the adrenal gland problem & the endo stress for 20 years it has gotten worse I suppose or perhaps I have had the adrenal problem 20 years also-who knows but I was just diagnosed recently. My blood sugar dropped to 50 today. This is not even the worst of it as I have never measured it when I was in extreme fatigue in bed, as I did not know this was the problem fully. I was not even feeling as fatigued as I am used to at 50, so the levels definately have been in a extremely dangerous level for perhaps years. This is a very difficult thing to guage though because always at Drs appts. the levels were good. The Lord has protected this body, no doubt! as I have been having heart palpatations for quite a long time that went along with the fatigue, Medical Drs. did an ekg & said I was fine. Yea Right, no offense though ok. Actually my naturopathic Dr. will probably be shocked when I tell her the levels. My husband keeps bringing me food-he is worried. Their really is nothing to do about it except pray & many others are praying for me right now, so that helps a lot. If I go to the hospitol, they only give glucose for this & tell me to eat well-the same thing I am doing now. My Dr. will call me Tuesday and I am very confident now that she can have some more insight into all of this and certainly give me ways besides food to keep the blood sugar up - which will then resolve the chronic fatigue, so that is all good. Really it is like this: 1 step back but then 2 steps forward. I can certainly panic about this, but I have had a lot of Peace. The only way I can have peace about it is if I think of the worst possible situation that can arise & what I would do, but at the same time be confident that all will be well. Well the worst thing that could happen would not be all that bad because I would be with the Lord. Gosh I hope this does not sound morbid or anything or does not make anyone worry about me. I just really need to vent. I feel much better now! Please Lord Hear my cry! Lori |

I used to have Chronic Fatigue, at least that's what I think it was since the doctor's couldn't find any other explanation. I was DEAD TIRED for over a year. Slept ALL THE TIME. I really thought I something like cancer that they just weren't finding. Luckily, I found a holistic doctor who got me off of carbs and recommended some herbs (a special blend he created out of mostly sea vegetables). It made all the difference in the world. If you're interested in the exact ingredients, email me. I'll tell what is on the label. But, I really think it was the carbs dragging me down. No nutrients. |

Hi Bett! So Happy to have you posting here. Yes I had thought about cancer also, because it is a little too much fatigue I am so glad you got that one figured out!!I spoke to Dr. Lam today. He told me that it is a 4 step process to get the adrenals fixed-which mess with the blood sugar- very tricky. I felt great when I started treatment for adrenals, but then crashed. Anyways the treatment plan is to cut back on the cortisol & more...It matched up with my naturopaths plan. Oh I was so happy to hear that one. Could you imagine if one said increase the cortisol & the other said to decrease it. Also their is a diet for this that had on it sea vegetables which you mentioned Bett. What is are Sea vegetables? I will try them gladly, anything to accelerate this. It is a little tricky to get the endo diet with the adrenal diet together but very, very similiar except no bannanas, raisins-no potassium. So confusing Lori |

oh I have been so tired... well don't mean to make it all about me today, but do need to finish up this post in case anyone reads it. Yes I am hypoglycemic-that goes along with the adrenal gland fatigue-low blood sugar attacks. Now diagnosed with anemia-Today estrogen dominance plays a part in all of this also. The body all works together, it seems that if one thing is messed up, it relates to everything! all is well, I start B12 shots Monday & more. my suggestions to all suffering with chronic fatigue & other problems besides the endo. Keep pushing for further testing & if they find nothing wrong with you, go to a naturopathic dr or somewhere else until you find out what the cause is. Their is always a reason for pain, chronic fatigue...always something underlying! Yes it did take me 20 years to find out about all of this, but the past is gone. Praise God I cannot wait until Monday to get that B12 shot Lori |
