LoOvral and endo
I had a dr visit yesterday afternoon to discuss my endo. I've been taking Ortho Tri-Cyclen for years and apparently it has not been effective in preventing ovarian cyst formation or managing my endo. So, my doctor would like to have me try LoOvral, another birth control pill. Has anyone tried this pill or is currently taking it? I'm so paranoid about the side effects, mainly the weight gain. I'm having a hard time accepting the possibility of a drastic weight gain, seeing that I have already gained more weight that I expected over the past year. With Ortho Try Cyclen, it has kept me down to a weight that I can manage and I've worked hard losing some of the weight I've gained previously. Any thoughts on LoOvral is great appreciated! |

hi, i just read a post on another forum about lo-ovaral, i used it for about 3years and had headaches with it and it didn't do anything for my periods and cramps, this was before i was diagnosed with endo mind you. but anyway, the post said that lo-ovaral had a high content of estrogen and it's bad for endo suffers to use. if you would like to email me personally at momloy3@aol.com, i will find the post and send it to you, it was from endozone.com, hope this helps with some info for ya! good luck!

thanks for the info! That surely is helpful. I don't think I want to switch birth control pills - I'm currently taking Ortho Tricyclen - which I have been taking for several years. I love it because my complexion is clear and my weight is very manageable. I'll check out endozone for more info. Thanks again! |
