I Missed you Melanie
Hi Melanie, I missed you! Just a short note, going to rest. It is the 1st day of my period, doing very well but tired today. Other than today & last night the fatigue has been improving! Yeah. I hope that nasty word-FEAR can stay away from You! Blessings, Lori |

Thanks, Lori. You are the sweetest! Just need to focus some extra energy to my sis-on-law (Patti) as she begins her battle with breast cancer. Interesting that you mention specifically the bit about fear. I talked with Patti at length about this last night--how fear has guided so many things in our lives and how it can potentially impact us physically and emotionally. It's much more in control these days than it ever has been, but I do slip on occasion. :) I am human, afterall. I am glad you're having another month of your period going well. I'm just finishing up and I am still in shock over how great I feel. :) Not sleeping as well as I am while on the cream, but at least I'm sleeping and feeling a million times better. Hugs, Melanie |

Hi Melanie again. I will keep all of you in my prayers. Do you take soy? Our Dr. recommends it to me. I explained I did not feel well eating soy ice cream, but she said it may be another ingredient in the ice cream? possible and I do trust her judgement, but have to remember to listen to my body. so I am on a good metabolic diet to lose weight which includes the endo diet, but the meal replacement drink is soy I just noticed. It gives me gas bad immediatly & I even had a few pains that I am not used to(the same thing happened with the soy ice cream) Now I notice my period is at least 6 days early-only 20 days & it is heavier. I need to call her. well forget the darn soy!!I always have light periods since the progesterone cream! and do not need gas either & even though the pain is not much to think of-I think it must irritate the endo. venting. In the endo diet book she mentions it could be the phytic acid which is in soy, even more than what is in wheat. Maybe it is just me as I am very sensitive. Just wondered if you have ever tried it? ok back to ALMOND MILK Lori

Hi Laurie, I eat very little soy. The research about it's realtion to breast cancer is so sketchy. Some indicates it helps prevent breast cancer for many women, but most breast specialists recommend that women who have had breast cancer limit their intake of soy. My doctor tells me to limit my intake due to the geetic predisposition in my family. Before that though I ate a lot of soy and didn't experience any problems at all. I will say though that I do not care for the taste of soy milk. I much prefer rice milk on my cereal and almond milk in my smoothies. Did I tell you I don't see our doctor until January? Good sign that in her mind I"m making progress too! :) Oh, countodown to Maui: 31 days! Melanie |
