Praise Report!!!!!-My husband's brain tumor/appt. results
Well Kaiser in san diego was located on ZION Ave which to those who do not know -it is the CITY OF GOD in the Bible. Pretty cool! I told you before that we were to meet with 2 specialists-the surgeon and another. Well again NO WAITING at kaiser. We got right in and then sat down and the docs came right in! Truly amazed us again! BUT 4, YES FOUR specialist Drs. in the nuerosurgery dept. came in to the room! Wow a bit intimidating at first, but then we realized we were very well taken care of and again the Lord was with us so blatantly obvious. Here is what they said and agreed on together; Slow growing benign tumor on/in nerve sheath which gives feeling to half of the face. Found by accident as not related to the dizzyiness and prior headaches. Positional vertigo which is obvious now because it happens only in certain positions-not related to tumor. These tumors can grow and at a certain point stop growing sometimes. They usually grow about a millimeter a year. The cartoid artery which I asked about..is seperated by a large membrane and tumor is very far away in their sense of things. Not near the pituitary gland to effect hormones…. Options: Surgery-cranionotmy. Not a behind the ear or through the nose sort of thing!! We did not want to ask details. Radiation-no longterm data on it for this type of tumor. Observation. Another MRI in a year to guage the growth rate…(Praying for no growth rate, but shrinkage rate ok!!!!!!!!!!!) Much conversation and plenty of time to answer our questions, but we really did not have too many questions and it was very easy to discern it all… I asked what if it grows? The worst thing-facial numbness and then if bigger-double vision, but would have to get real big to cause this. I did not want to go further..no need to really! Then I started crying as this is the end of it all we believe and we got all the answers we need. I looked up and there on the main drs. lapel of his coat was a beautiful gold CROSS pin. I was so rude to interept their conversations as he was mid-sentence talking to Steve and I yelled out ”You are a Christian!!” Then again I said it again in unbelief. Ok steve is used to me!! But what confirmation and how awesome was that. This team of Drs. was like it was from a movie. They were so in sync with each other that it was a comedy routine in the room. It was so funny. They said they would fax us the results and then will be sending a kit in the mail to us with a scalpel and instructions on how to do our own surgery. Ha Ha. I really was not laughing till later because I was in so much shock over all that was happening. They made many jokes.. We are not naïve to what radiation entails and surgery. They both will cause permanent numbness in the face if not more problems. Radiation can only be done once and causes problems… The drs. then said well you can wait to decide Steve. They did not want to tell him what to decide. Ha ha are you kidding!! Steve and I did not even need a discussion. Observation it is and we do not have any worries about this!! Also Steve has not been taking the motion sickness medicine in a few days and it seems the dizziness and nausea is gone, just in time to not worry if it was related or not. He used the netty pot for his sinuses and now has some exercises to do if it starts up again. I do know that not always the outcome is good in this world. I still suffer as many of you do with health problems. But He is the Great physician and at times does cure it, brings the remedy to help it or brings us the peace to overcome it and go on. Or He brings others to Christ through it and because of it. It is always for His glory and all I pray that a great thing came out of all of this. I know that we are changed forever! I do know that he always has a plan for good through for those who are his and who believe in the message of the cross and that we need to trust him for the outcome. But certainly hard sometimes!! Great news and we pray for cont'd shrinkage. Good to know it is not near the pit. gland. Does the netti pot help with his dizzyness? Sometimes it helps me to relieve headaches. As you have heard I am in the 5th month of a pregnancy and hope and pray for a full term healthy baby. I worry that the little one may be suffering headaches like me. Anyway, may God give you strength to support and love your husband through this time. May He cause your love for eachother to deepen and grow. God has used illness to make my marriage beautiful and soften our hearts to one another. Praying for courage for you. The baby is kicking as I type!!! Heaven |

Hello Heaven, You were the one who mentioned the netty pot right? I remember printing it out and saying to my husband- a message from Heaven. He then tried it sporadically as he was not convinced. THEN a customer of his came in and said that his wife was dizzy for a long time, used the netty pot and was cured. So then that was the 2nd confirmation. Also a naturopath said it could be sinus...So my husband used it for about 5 days 2 times per day and it went away!!! It may not make sense everything as the other docs say it is BPV, but hey it worked! And God is amazing in how he speaks through us all on this site. Thank you very much Heaven and everyone else too. How exciting about the baby kicking! Oh you should not worry about headaches for the baby with all that you have been doing to build up your health. Will pray now for that little one growing inside of you. Lori

Every time we go thruogh a trial we come out stronger and closer to God and it touches those around us. Your E-mails about all of this were so encouraging along the way.
