Question about endo in abdomen
Hi Ladies, It has been a while since I have posted on this board. Praise the Lord that I have been doing well! I have had pain in my stomach/side/back on my left side right under my ribs. The doctors have ran blood work and found nothing. I'm still awaiting the CT scan results. I am wondering if this could possibly be endo????? It seems way to high in my abdomen to be endo, but I wondered if anyone has experienced problems with endo other than in the pelvic region. this pain is a mystery to me.... thanks for any input that you can give. God bless |

Jo, I experienced pain like you are describing and it ended up being my bowels....It might be a good idea to have a colonscopy done to see if that is what's causing your pain. The endo had invaded my bowels and caused a obstruction. I pray you keep telling your dr's about your pain and don't give up until it's resolved. Lord I pray right now for Jo that you will give her peace and reveal to her what she needs to do, also bring relief of her pain until what's causing it can be resolved. In Jesus Name amen I hope this helps and don't be discouraged I know what your going through and it can make you feel that way. If I can help in anyway please let me know. Hugs, Marie |

I believe I may have endo in the bowels. If you have read any previouse posts under my name, I have a sharp pain under my ribs. nausea and tender pain radiate down the left side of my abdomon to my left back side then to my pelvic area. I have alot of burning sensation with it. Dose eating food bring on the pain a little more sevear? What are your bowel movements like? Maybe a colonoscopy can be considered along with all other testings. May the Lord give you and your doctors wisdom concerning this pain. Love and blessings, Nettie |

Jo, The suggestions you have been given are good ones to explore. I'd also look at the possibility of referred pain (the actual cause of the pain is in one location but it is felt in another location). One other thought is that it could be adhesions that are tugging/pulling on an area. Does the pain get worse as the day goes on? That's a question that my doctor keeps asking and it makes him think that it is adhesions that are tugging. I hope you feel better soon, Robin H |

HI Ladies, Thanks for all of your great input. Nettie, my pain is very similar to what you described on your left side. My doctor said that she would refere me to a gastrointestinal specialist if the CT scans show nothing. Perhaps that would be a good idea at this point to get the colonoscopy. Robin, the pain does get worse as the day goes on. In fact, I usually notice it being worse when I am driving home after work and in the evening. So, that does make a bit of sense to me. thanks everyone for your encouragement and prayer! You are all so wonderful! God Bless!! |

Just wanted to add that I have pain in my legs, calves and thighs, don't think I have endo there, I just think the pain radiates down there or something. Even before I was having endo pain as a teen I had menstural cramps in my legs. so i do think it's possible to have pain outside the pelvic area due to endo. |
