Done deal
FYI- I had surgery yesterday with Dr. Sinervo at the Center for Endometriosis Care. I expect the outcome to be VERY positive. They also had a thoracic surgeon check for endo on the top of the diaphragm, but it appears the scar tissue on the diaphragm from internal bleeding was causing the pain. All this to encourage all of you to go to the specialists. I researched, called and chose Sinervo. It was an incredible experience to talk to a doctor who BELIEVED me and went after an answer. Dr. Sinervo's office handled all the paperwork, were incredibly caring, and from what I saw, all in the office are believers. No small thing! Both my husband and I were so comfortable there-these are people we would enjoy going to dinner with. I am 43 so taking the uterus due to adenomyosis and one ovary was no problem. He also took endo from other areas and classifid me as stage 3 when Brazilian docs classified me as stage one and suggested Lupron. He also did an apendectomy since I live in Brazil. The center for Endo in Atlanta believe Lupron causes more probs than going through menopause by taking the ovaries. Ladies - be aggresive in getting answers In prayer and in action. Especially you young ones. If your insurance will not cover a specialist, fight! When I had an ACL knee repair, I switched IPO's within my HMO just to get the best doctor. Explain the average diagnosis takes 9 years because many regular gynos do not recognize endo. Don;t give up. And I praise God for bringing me back from Brazil to a great doctot. May God bless, comfort and heal all of us! And may we praise him in our pain, and when we are delivered from our pain. |
