Immune System Question
Lori, On an earlier post you mentioned that you would post on various ways to strengthen the immune system. I continue to have outbreaks of Candida which i fight with: Probiotics, antifungal cream (up the nose and on lower extremity) , neti pot, garlic and dandelion tea. For immune care I actually crave greens and fruit, nuts, green tea and other healthy thing . Also take calcium, magnesium, iron, B12, charcoal on occasion. Did you know supplemeting with Vit D can be harmful to your liver Check out liver care on line - they recommend staying clear of Vit A and D. I get Vit D cravings of eggs, sardines and if very strong -SHRIMP! Also gets better if I have sunshine! Can I do more for my immune system É (Sorry my question mark is not working...) Also heard people who have damaged their system due to pot often need to supplement with Tyrosine to up dopamine levels. Low dopamine levels can also run in families (more depression, immune trouble)... NAtural ways to up dopamine (though not nearly as effective as tyrosine): good beat music, positive social contacts, getting out and about shopping or doing something you enjoy, invigorating shower. Hope this helps -look forward to your post... Heaven |

Hello Heaven! How is it going with the pegnancy? I pray the baby is growing strong! I have been checking out a great candida site. Search "yahoo group candida Bee" I have candida bad in my sinuses. A tad of garlic in soaking water and then a drop near the nose worked well. I mainly just inhaled the garlic fumes as I felt it in my lungs too-worked great!. I do not know about this long term though, but their is info on that site about it somewhere! I did not ever read about vitamin D & A being harmful to the liver, but I am assuming that is in large doses?? I have an appt with my MD/naturopathic type of dr. in a few weeks and am making a list of questions for him about my immune system protocol. I think my immune system problem started as a child-well then I worsened it...but my dad had rheumatic fever in the service and was very, very sick most of his life-he really blamed it all on the fever he got before my mom and him were married. Growing up he had a long list of health problems including a relentless rash on his arms for 20 years or so. I am guessing it may have been candida. My brother has it bad too...seems like a family thing that started when we were young. I grew up with tonsillitis all the time and strep throat a few times per year as a child-then as an adult BAD ear infections. Lots of antibiotics-perhaps contributing to my bad health already & what I did to my body well you know, it is amazing that I am alive! Thank you for your help. I have been hiking and having fun with the family on the weekends and getting out as much as I can lately. Ok, here is my protocol! And I believe it is working! Only one candida outbreak in 3 months and I cannot feel it hardly anymore. will see! Some of the things were from my doc, some from the candida site and so on... BETA GLUCAN IMMUNITION NSC 100-2 a day(started slow!!) LIQUID PROBIOTIC-3 x day(started very slow) LIQUID ANTIOXIDANT - 1 x day COLOSTROM - 2-2 x day FISH OIL 2 day or eat salmon EVENING PRIMROSE OIL-2 day EMERGENC "C" 2-4 packets a day B12-under tongue. used to do shots, may go back to them. IODINE(only if you are tested to be low)(started slow) GARLIC TABLETS 2 a day(started slow) VITAMIN A WITH D B COMPLEX(need to get) VITAMIN E CALCIUM/MAGNESIUM where i say i "started slow" is because the candida die off was so very bad from the supplements... but has greatly faded now to hardly a symptom as I have moved up. MORE! endo/candida diet-trying to eat organic veggies clove tea/paurco tea as I can coconut oil daily-trying for 4 tbls. a day. epson salt baths progesterone cream for endo pain sometimes chorella when I remember. lots of the outdoors! relations with my husband-great for the immune system!(man & wife! Our pastor spoke of this at church and how it effects the immune system biologically...) ANYONE READING, PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR DRS. ESPECIALLY IF PREGNANT ON SOME OF THE VITAMINS. Thank you again Heaven, THANK YOU JESUS! Love, Lori

Hey Lori! Thanks for all the great info! You know I take Cal/Mag, B12, green tea, thyroid meds and potassium on a regular basis. Also started drinking Aloe Vera juice (immune system, kidneys, digestive enzymes). I also take plant digestive enzymes. Together all these things seemto be working - Vit D is not tolerated for me and want to mention that Vit E is a blood thinner and caused more endo pain as a result. Do you bath with garlic? Anyway have you tried potassium in small amounts? It seems to be helping my candida and shifting my ph quite well - better than anything I've tried! Pregnancy is going well - thank you for praying for this little one!!!! I still can't seem to grasp that this is happening - it has been so long in the waiting..... Take care! Heaven |

Hey Lori and Heaven! Sorry I haven't posted in a while; I don't have internet access all of the time for the next few months. I wanted to talk to you two about pH. I have been researching it a lot, and I was really happy to get that "know the cause" video from you Lori, about the baking soda and fungus cure! Baking soda is an alkalizer and and oxygenator. I have learned that bacteria, parasites, fungii, and viruses can not grow in an alkaline environment! So recently I have been testing my pH with test strips and trying to stay as alkaline as possible. I almost made it through the sinus/flu season without any problems....but a few weeks ago I got a strep infection called impetigo on my FACE!!, it was awfull! The doc wanted me to take a steriod shot, an oral antibiotic, and a topical antibiotic. I got the prescription, but I waited to take it, I didn't get the steroid shot either. I wanted to see if I could find anything natural that would work. (It wasn't good for my ego!) But I decided to make a paste out of water and baking soda and just smear it on my face all day. Within three hours the sores were no longer seeping and the next day it was practically dried up and gone! I never took the antibiotic (I read it could cause severe bowel obstructions). My husband caught it from a kid at school (he's a teacher) and I got it from him. It took him 21 days to get over it with the shot and antibiotics, but not me, two days! Anyway, this pH is something to look into. I believe it would help speed recovery time on our journeys to get our health back! Let me know if you gals have any input! Heaven I hope that your pregnancy is going well! Lori, I hope your husband and family are doing well! Christy |

Hello Christy and Heaven. God bless the both of you! Have you been telling me about this PH before. Maybe I did not hear. Wow! I just tested and it was 5.5, so am acidic. I keep on saying to my husband & friends that the candida is flourishing! Why is it flourishing in my body? Just 1/2 a day of not taking my vitamins and I can feel it. Why Lord am I acidic? I eat very well. Maybe it is the eggs I eat? Something has been wrong obviously as the candida is living in a perfect invironment!!!!! I think the Lord just revealed something here as I have been eating cabbage, braggs dressing and onions and keep remarking to my husband how good I feel after. I also remember telling a friend that rice, beans, chicken bowl(el pollo loco or rubios) makes me NOT feel well and tonight I itch AGAIN after the bowl. Heaven, I have been having nightmares and leg cramps again. It is only when I take calcium/magnesium before bed that they go away. I just read that being acidic takes the potassium, calcium, magnesium out of the body or something like that?? Wow, maybe this is another culprit. Ok, so hopefully will have more answers tommorow after my docs appt. & share more if you can & I will let you know what my doc says. I am going to pray 1st and see if he brings it up. No dr. ever mentioned to me?????????? Love, Lori

Hello again Heaven, My Dr. said for me to not take vitamin A long term, so I am cutting out the A and only taking the D as it is in my calcium/magnesium. Thank you for the info on the E! No, I do not take garlic baths. My husband would die from the smell! I have been taking epson salt with baking soda baths though & after I use coconut oil as a moisturizer. Relieved my itching today! And my doc said it is ok to use the netty pot with baking soda in it. It worked well. I used to take aloe vera. I thought I read somewhere to only take it for a limited time? Potassium is in my Emergenc C, but only small amounts. Hmmm. God bless you and the baby! I may go on difulcan with monitoring the liver. You know I hate medicine, but it may be needed! 30 days of it at least...will see what happens with test results and the Lord's leading. Love, Lori

Hey Lori and others; About the ph balancing, test strips (litmus paper) this is what my homeopath told me last year. Do not be anxious if you are following an alkaline diet and your test strips seem to not change. It is BETTER to have slow change over time thank drastic change fast. Think about it like this: your cells have been acidic for years, and your organs have adapted to this, after taking greens, changing your diet, it will be expected that through your digestive tract the changes will be slow to permeate. Lanny (my Homeopathic doc) said that testing your urine AND your saliva is the best way to test your PH. Hope this makes sense, All the best, Sarah D. |

Wow ladies! Great to pool our knowledge once again. About that baking soda - I will be adding it my bath water and netti pot. Great idea because I don't eat much baking. You know I want to discuss a couple of matters and I hope Christy returns to this post as well. I have been researching the science of magnetic fields. It started with my Aunt (who has MS) telling me that a low magnetic field causes the electrolytes (these are calcium, mag, sodium and potassium) to stick to the arteries. They are not accessible to the body and this would explain why i have to supplement the three of them and eat more salt. The science according to the Japaneese is that our bodies are bombarded with positive magnetic fields leaving us with "magnetic deficiency syndrome". To fix this we acan wear magnets with the negative side facing toward the body. I bought magnetic bandages and paste them on any aching area. Testimony: carpel tunnelling was gone in 2 hours kidney pain is reieved upon occasion helps diminish leg cramps if pasted on my neck lymph nodes has stopped nightmares! a negative magnetic field makes the very cells more alkaline and balances PH. Could this be why so many of us find proper PH so hard to maintain? My Aunt sleeps on a magnetic field bed and it put her MS into remissiion!!! Something to consider girls??? She also supplements with the electrolytes and this helps. So very thankful for this site. Sometimes we can know so much from research yet quickly forget what we once knew!! Kidney pain continues. Sleeping on my stomach (special bed helps a lot). I am also crushing Nystatin and gargling it for candida clearance. Pray for me if you ythink of it - doc is considering ceasarian if kidney pain gets too bad... Love, Heaven |

Christy - glad to hear you found a natural way to beat the infection on your face. Hope you are doing well. Wanted to leave a thread about liver care: Three things are working quite well: sunshine, hot water bottle on the liver (just below the ribs), and straight lemon tea on an empty stomach. If any of this can help you to God be the glory. Wishing you good health all! Lori - yes I read too that acidity causes electrolyte depletion. In turn can cause kidney trouble... Positive magntic field exposure causes cidity. One big thread I suppose - lets see if we can unravel it together with God's help! Love, Heaven |

Heaven, Unbelievably, I am relentlessly studying the effects of frequency on the body! I do believe in this. Although I have not studied magnets specifically, I have learned that our DNA is solely "receptors" of sound, light, and magnetism. (Although you will commonly hear that this part of our DNA is labelled "junk" by most scientists on mass media). Of course heavy metals have lead me here because they actually change our God-given electrical frequency. I am glad you posted, because I though of you the other day when I picked up a CD called "Mozart for Baby" or something like that. I read the cover and it said that Mozart's music (music is frequencies, mind you) calms infants, even in the womb. It can help children sleep better, help with behavioral problems, etc. Classical music uses both sides of the brain (unlike rock n'roll which only uses one side) and has been shown to increase the IQ's in children and adults! Maybe you can calm your uterus listening to music! Anyway I am not against rock music, but it's very interesting that it is not beneficial.... It's funny that sunshine helps the liver, isn't it? Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the light" -People in His day must've known the importance of sunlight for the mind & body! Hope you are doing well! Hugs, Christy |

Christy- keep us posted on what you find out regarding electromagnetic fields. Can't believe you are currently studying this - a God moment! It makes sense with the liver that sunshine helps because the body needs Vit D for hormone balance. Sunshine is a definate detox for me - 25 min on the south side of my house will do. Ladies I have to tell you about what happened to me lastnight. I went to a baby shower for a couple of young ladies from our Church. After games and gift opening one of them placed a baby tub full of baby items at MY feet announcing that it was for the "Mom to be". That was it - I totally lost it! I cried uncontrollably for a time- then caught myself and explained they were tears of joy. It all became real to me in that moment and I was overcome with emotion (which is unlike me in public or private for the most part). I know that those of you who have been through the journey of endo will understand my flood of emotions. After about 8 surgeries and so much pain, diligence and faith to get to this point I am completely overwhlemed by it. Every day I can't seem to grasp that this is happening and we are going to have a baby. It must be a result of the years of pain, sorrow and exclusion from others I have endured because of endo and its issues. I reflect on times where I was unable to attend socail functions because of endo, trips cut short, job loss and financial burdens because of endo. Really I don't have to tell you - I know you understand. I was so unprepared for the moment because I came to fully celebrate SOMEONE ELSE'S joy - not mine. They have no idea this is an IVF pregnancy or the years of endo preceding and what a miracle this baby is. I think they were utterly shocked at my temp breakdown!!!!!! Wishing you God's very best always, Heaven |

Heaven, Thank you for sharing your story about the baby shower. I know that over the years, hearing baby shower stories from the ladies whose hearts are broken, because their hope is deferred. Mine has been too, and it sounds like you had a real divine moment there. I wish you could have caught the looks on the other ladies' faces as you broke into tears. Not in any malicious sense- it's true that they don't know the history behind your tears. God is so proud of you! Your perseverence and your faithfulness to him. It's wonderful to hear an endo sister experiencing such victory. Well, I just wanted to say thanks for sharing, I really hope that the same can happen to me one day, but for now, I'm really happy for you and will keep praying that all goes well. God bless and a big hug, Sarah D.
