Prayer Please
Hello ladies. I have not been on this forum much in the past few weeks but wanted to ask for your prayers. Those of you who have read previous posts know that I have extensive endo. issues in my past. It was through a special diet and IVF that I was able to concieve. Now entering the 8th month I am experiencing severe kidney pain and shooting urethra pain. I went to emerg today and urine tests all came up negative for a urinary tract infection. Nevertheless they gave me a course of antibiotics as a FEW bacteria were present. I am also having shooting pains in my urethra (I think that it what it is called)- enough to double me over. I entered into this pregnancy by faith and I know God continues to be in control. I don't think I want to take those antibiotics as they CAN bring on early labor. Has anyone heard of a high acidity level causing this issue? My system is running quite acidic and I am trying to swing it more alkaline (will work harder at this!). Any thoughts on how to do this? My plan is to eat more watermelon, canteloupe, drink aloe vera juice, take more probiotics.... Anyway, prayer is needed and VERY appreciated. From baby and me, Heaven |

Dear Haven, I will lift you up in prayer to our Lord. When is your due date again? May the Lord sustain you until that time. I don't know much about the alkalin, and acidity. But I have been taking Lori's advice on swallowing fresh garlic (YUCK) for bacteria and bladder infections. It seems to be working. I'm not sure if you can handle that or not considering that when your pregnant you get aloads of gas because everything is pushed up to make room for baby. I know that grapes and strawberries are real acidic. Lots of water is very good for you. Gotta go baby's crying. I'll pray for an answer to your request. Until then may the Lord sustain you. Love, Nettie |

Hello, I am praying you are getting better. This morning, have been praying for an answer to help. Then Nettie posted exactly what I was going to say! Garlic makes us alkaline. Is antifungal, antibacterial & kills viruses. I pray that you get better soon! Praying Lori

Thank you gals. You are always so super to pray and share advice. I went to emerg today and they found no bladder/kidney infection. URRRR.... U/S revealed a swollen right kidney as I suspected. No answer as to why. No obstruction noted. Then an irritable uterus was noted (I saw this on chart fluctutions). Anyway a nurse told me that an irritable uterus, being right next to the bladder can cause bladder trouble and even kidney trouble. Pregnancy can back it up due to positioning. So my endo pockets are irritating my bladder, then infecting my kidney. Still estrogen related ... URRRRR.... Noticed kidney pain is worse when high estrogen, stressed or tired. I have been sneeking in some garlic - had no idea it was for alkaline balance too. I plan to drink lemon tea each morning and eat lots of watermelon. And afternoon rests to get the pressure off my bladder so it won't back up into the kidney. Scary waters but I feel a calm that God will work this out and make a way. Nettie, I am due the end of May. I have been reading the book about nursing baby you suggested. So helpful and making me feel more prepared. Thank you so much!!!!!!! Thanks for the prayers Lori and Melissa. So helpful to know we do not stand alone but have the support of others!!! Love you all, Heaven |

Heaven, Hey! I will pray for you! I read that raspberry leaf tea is good for irritable uterus and pregnancy. It contains a lot of magnesium, which may be the problem. Magnesium citrate is the most absorbable form. In my case, I needed a lot more than the recommended daily dosage. I am not sure about the pregancy risks, but most naturopaths say that the best way to figure out how much you need is to increase the dosage everyday until you have a soft bowel movement. I needed a lot (four times the recommended dose). Also corn silk tea is good for bladder and kidney infections. I started tyrosine today, I'll let you know how it goes. How blessed you are to be with child!!!!! Christy |

I wasn't sure if you have this site or not. But you want to be careful as to what you are taking while pregnant and lactating. You can look it up here. http://www.kellymom.com/ look up herbs and brest feeding. If its not good for lactating moms it may not be for pregnancy as well. hope all is well. love, Nettie |

Christy! Good to hear from you again. Yes I take magnesium -crushed at night and have soft bowel movements. I have noticed my kidney is worse the more hormonal drainage I have from my pituatary gland so I am using the neti pot and spitting the thick mucus (hormones) into the sink. This is lessening the load on the kidneys. I think the alkaline diet is helping as well but it has only been a few days so hard to tell. I wish you all the best with the Tyrosine. I had to lower my prolactin levels with it so I could become pregnant. Prayers to you. Heaven |
