Finally
Hi fellow Christians, Endo sisters, and Prayer Warriors, I finally have an appointment to see a GI specialists. I have put it off for several months now, canceling appointments and what not for various valid reasons including financial. But I am going on the 24th of this month, April. I feel that I may have mechanical bowel obstruction, and possibly colon cancer. I pray that it is not. I have been dealing with a chronic pain for years in my upper left abdomen. I would hope to think that its an ulcer, but my symptoms point further. I was supposed to get a colonoscopy not to long ago, but I didn't. I'm going for my consultation first. I am going to tell them to exhaust all avenues, so I hope they are patient with me because I'm not leaving without answers. If anyone has advise please share. So Colonoscopy, endoscopy, CT Abdomen to evaluate my liver, Pancreatic duct dilation, MRI abdomen and anything else that I need to find out why I am suffering chronically. Its been ten years with this pain. I've been to many, many doctors, with little or NO answers. I believe that the Lord is going to reveal to me what it is soon. Thank you ladies for your prayers, support, knowledge, and for sharing your own stories. Thank you Lori for reaching out to me and obeying the Lord to bless me with the info that I need. I feel way better than I did last week. May the Lord return sevenfold. Love, Nettie |

Well I went to the Gastro doc. He had absolutly NO PEOPLE SKILLS. He almost made me cry. I am tired of the know it all doctors that don't know anything. He just prescribed laxatives, and ultrasound, and some sort of medication that I didnt understand anything about, or why he gave it to me. So I'm back to square one. |

Thank you Heaven for thinking of me. I finnally have my ultrasound tommarrow on the 21st. After a month of them reschedualing me. I think that they are going the long way around and making me pay more out of my pocket. But I am almost positive that the endo is blocking my colon. I'm not sure what types of proceedures they give for that other than the colonoscopy, But I am not to happy with my doctor. He has no bedside manners, and just about made me cry. Th eonly reason why I am sticking it out with him is because I looked up other doctors in my area through my insurance and they are all males with the same type of backrounds. I will be sure to keep you updated. I have been going through variouse trials. aND TRYING TO STAY AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER as much as possible unless I have time. Thank you again. And I can't wait to here from you when you have your little blessing. Love, Nettie |

Thanks for thinking of me Shakes. I got my results, and like I figured. Nothing. The people giving me the ultra sound suggested that I take it a step up with a CT or even an MRI, to rule out all possibilities as to why I have been suffering for ten years with this pain. So as my initial instinct, I am gooing to demand my rights as a paitent and get the testing that needs to be done. I am such a coward when it comes to doctors and their knowledge. I need wisdom. I will let you know this week whats going to happen. Love, Your friend Nettie |

Dear Nettie, As I have learned thru the years, a doctor is there to advise you he is not God even though he may think he is.Possible reasons for the constant intestinal pain could be Adhesions caused by the endo, a kink in the intestine, part of an endocrine problem ( see a regular endocrinologist) Miralax is supposed to help, it's no longer prescription, apples are a good source of fiber, taking colace capsules twice daily (stool softener) or even Pericolace (stool softener w/laxative but not harsh). These are all things to try but my gut says adhesions on the intestine causing it to become no become "hard" not allowing the stool to pass through. Have seen this before in a patient in a surgical office I worked in. Her adhesions were really bad. Good luck...Sandy |

Dear Sandy, Thank you for the suggestions and advice. I also believe it to be adhesions, which I mentioned to the doctor. I 'm supposed to get a Colonoscopy, which will let me know if I have adhesions or polyps on or in the colon. I might ask for an Endoscopy to see if there may be anything in the stomach. Do you know what type of procedure they do to find out if there are adhesions on the intestines? Thank you for the advice. Thank you again, God bless ya, Nettie
