I too get headaches and migranes. I have what I call visual migranes. I start sweating and feel like I'm backing out and I have a hard time seeing. This usually lasts like 30 to 40 mins and then when my vision comes back my head just pounds. I especially hate it when the migranes/headaches stay around for days. My dr wanted me to take Topamax but, I have never been big on taking meds. I found the chiropractor or a massage helps. Sometimes I also alternate hot & cold compresses and headache helps if you catch the headache/migrane in the beginning. I know headaches are no fun. I will keep you in my prayers! God Bless Melissa |

Hey Allisyn, I used to get migraines quite frequently in high school and the beginning of college. They always started out behind my right eye. I would get dizzy, nauseous, sensitive to light, sound, motion, and heat. I couldn't afford any prescriptions, so I always ended up huddled in a dark room, fan/ac on high, with a cold wash rag over my eyes, while taking aleve. Once in college I learned I was "sensitive" to sulfites (a common allergen/preservative found in wine, beer, grape juice, chocolate, and a few other foods). Sulfites also naturally occur in grapes. However, I'm ok as long as I don't eat foods that add them in, for example, dark chocolate. These days, caffeine can sometimes trigger a migraine, but since I try to avoid that to limit my endo pain, I just don't really get migraines anymore. Do you know what triggers yours? If you can figure that out, it could help you limit your down time from them. My friend, Alexis, gets them from stress and changes in the weather, so finding her triggers only helped her so much. Anyway, I wish you well.God bless, Steph |

Steph: I have noticed that the changes in weather (rain, sudden changes in temperature, etc.) seem to trigger my headaches. i have recently been trying to see if any certain foods trigger them, but so far I havent found much...lol |
