How's it going with those Fibrovan users. I am considering this product but is it worth it? Thanks Jennifer |

Hi Jennifer I used Fibrovan twice in 2006. I had a very bad year with firstly being told I had fibroids which was causing my heavy bleeding and then to tell me a hysterectomy was the only option. I then decided to do some research on fibroids. Fibrovan was one of the things I tried. I also changed my diet and added vitamins like Vit A and C these help a lot with heavy bleeding. The Fibrovan seemed to work for a short time but I feel it was the change in diet that worked more for me. Everyone is different but urge you to research like I did and also get your Thyroid checked. You might find just a change of diet could help in getting symptoms under control. By the way two years on and I still have not had a hysterectomy - strange that! |

I have been on it for about 4 months now for endometriosis. I'm not going to tell you that all my pain is gone but when I found Fibrovan on the internet I was desparate. My pain was starting to get to me really bad. I was sleeping for like a week each month from the pain and the bleeding and clots during my periods were out of control. I can tell you that my periods are amazing!!! I mean I just can't believe it, I haven't had periods like these in years. I'm wishing I had originally worked harder at taking the pills on time and regularly...I wonder where I would be!!! Once in a while I get the really painful episodes but nothing like before. I truely think that my body is just taking time to heal....I mean I have lived with endo for 6 years so theres got to be a lot to clean up in there. I reordered and doubled my commitment and am looking for other nature healing methods. Now I think I'm going to try some diet changes among other things. |

I used Fibrovan for a while. I had some good results. I think that it really helped my endo and pain but not really my fibroids. I ended up getting a partial hysterectomy. I had them leave my cervix and both ovaries. I will say that during the surgery the doctors found no trace of endo. I had previously been surgically diagnosed so I know that I did have it at one time. You can read my whole experience on this website. I will find it and post it for you. |

Hey I think the best way to find that information is use the search box above and search Fibrovan and look under Update on Fibrovan. That was about a year long dialogue of people using Fibrovan and the results they, including myself, had. Hope it helps. |

I am new to this board and I just thought I could share my experience with Fibrovan. I am 41 yrs old and have had a long history of fibroids. At 31 I had a myomectomy to remove 21+ fibroids after experiencing excessive bleeding with huge clots for months. 6 months prior to my surgery, I was put on Lupron shots to help shrink the fibroids. The surgery was a success but I almost bled to death and was given a blood transfusion. It took me 2+ years after that, with an excellent reproductive endocrinologist doctor to finally get pregnant through IVF. I had a successful pregnancy with twin girls. I never thought I would get pregnant again but thank God, it was a miracle. I was told by doctors that I would never get pregnant on my own except through medical help i.e.IVF Fast forward to one year ago (June 2007) when the fibroids returned and I was back in the hospital again getting a blood transfusion due to anemia. The fibroids were huge and the doctors recommended a hysterectomy. I was told pregnancy (if I still wanted children) was out of the question--too many fibroids with adenomyosis and an enlarged uterus had killed all my chances of ever getting pregnant again. I refused to believe the doctors and turned to the Internet for alternative medicine. I found the fibrovan website, ordered the drug out of desperation because anything was better than a hysterectomy. I started taking Fibrovan in September 2007. You are right about the bleeding. Fibrovan caused me to bleed excessively and I almost gave up. I hung in there deciding to give just 1 more month. In December (2&1/2 months later) I went for follow-up with my Dr and was told my blood count was up!!! The highest it had been since my myomectomy in 1999. I was shocked. 2 weeks later I found out I was pregnant!!! That just blew me away. I had never been on birth control since my myomectomy and I never had gotten pregnant on my own. Fibrovan did it. However I lost the pregnancy 7 weeks later probably because the fibroids were still there or maybe for some other reason. But I did not despair. Fibrovan had given me hope that I had never had before and that was a reason to keep taking it. I went back on Fibrovan in February 2008 and this time using birth control(a diaphragm--no hormonal pills!!). The bleeding was excessive for the first 3 months but I did not give up because now I understood what was happening. The fibroids were dissolving and I had lots of them. In May 2008 my period was different. The bleeding decreased significantly, no clots and only lasted 4 days this time. My stomach is almost flat again and I am using castor oil packs in addition 5 nights/week. My recent ultrasound shows that the fibroids have decreased in size. I do believe that Fibrovan works. It has worked for me and I plan on trying to get pregnant again soon. Do your own research and see whatever works for you. I know there are some risks involved in trying other forms of treatment and it is always advisable to discuss it with your Dr. But for me, I felt I had to try other options first. I am taking Fibrovan 3 capsules twice a day. Good luck to all. Milly
