Hello I am very sorry! I suggest reading the Psalms in the Bible and learning about good nutrition on this website. It will make a difference. Did you know that eating healthy can make a difference too? I hope that you do not mind that I pray for you: Heavenly Father, Lord I understand this hurt and pain that she feels as we were or sometimes still are in discouragement. Lord I ask you that you show yourself to Nicloe today in a powerful way. Bring her your comfort and peace that surpasses all undersanding. Show her your love and show her how to rely on you. Please ease her pain emotionally and physically. Calm her spirit. Show her the direction she is to go. In Jesus name, amen. Let us know how we can help you! In Christ, Lori |

I'm sorry you are in so much pain! First, I pray the lord will give you comfort and direction in this situation. Like Lori suggested a laporoscopy would give you confirmation if the problem is endo. I was diagnosed with endo after having an exploratory laparatomy to remove a large cyst. For many yrs I avoided going to the dr thinking that the problem would go away. I'm not sure where you live, but if you could get to see a real endo specialist you would be better off. Most regular gyns don't know a lot about endo. A diet change may also help. I sought the advice of a naturopathic dr after being desperate for relief. It was the best thing I did. I avoid dairy and red meats and use castor oil packs and take supplements. I still have pain with my periods, but at least that's it. I know you must be frustrated in having to deal with this and it keeping you from enjoying life. I used to dance and I had to stop all of a sudden and it was hard. I used to have to cancel on friends and lost a few friends, but my best friend has stood by me. Just take things each day at a time, enjoy everyday you are feeling good, learn as much as you can and be your own advocate and lasty just trust God to lead you. Pray things look up for you! Hi Nicole, I'm so sorry that you're going through this. I know how frustrating it can be. I also have pain all month long and that threw the doctors off for a long time. One said "it can't be endo because u have pain when you're not on your period". Well he is wrong, a small percentage of women have pain all month long. With my endo i started of a little painful with periods and got worse and worse over a couple months until it was all month long. Do a lot of research. It really helps me. Google "endometriosis" on line, and all different types of key words, or get some books if you can. I have a ton! When I'm in a lot of pain I research and try to figure out what to try next. My next step is that I'm going to try a naturopathic doctor. You must be your own advocate with doctors, don't take no for an answer! Go in with your questions and take your time until you feel comfortable with the answers. Have you seen a reproductive endocrinologist? If not I highly suggest you ask for a referral to one. They specialize in endo a lot more than gyno's. Sometimes gynos can give you bad advise. Also if they start suggesting Lupron or Danzanol I would research this a lot before you agree to take it! I was in a lot of pain and so tired of it and my gyno gave me lupron right there at one of my dr's appts. I believed what she told me that it will make me pain free for 3-5 years. It did not and I have a ton of side effects from it. Overall research and don't let the doctors push you around. Good luck, we're here for you! Becky |

Very simply - your symptoms sound exactly like mine were before I was diagnosed with endo . . . Increased pain over several months, very irregular periods, and just like you my pain lasted 3 weeks of the month with the week following my period being the only one that was pain free. I had a pretty good doc, and she scheduled a lap and diagnosed my endo after 3 office visits. (The average number of visits for endo to be diagnosed is 9 . . .usually over several years.) I really believe that it is likely you have endometriosis . . . it would be great if you could get a laparoscopy scheduled in order to get a firm diagnosis. You may have to go to the doc more and complain more. . . or possibly you could try to find an endo specialist in your area . . . the endodocs group on yahoo can be helpful (you may just have to search the archives for info about docs in you area, because sometimes it is hard to get replys to posts) . . . even if you can't find an endo specialist it still might be a good idea to try another doctor. I would suggest from my experience that you try to find a doctor that will excise (cut out the endo) and not just laser it off . . . I would also suggest that you do not take Lupron or Danazol or any of the other drugs that they might recommend (they are not cures for endo and they have serious side effects). It would be great if you could get your mom to do some research about endo before your doc visits too. The more information you have the easier it will be to make decisions about your treatment. Don't give up on getting the help you need. Just be persistent with the doctors . . . I pray that God will lead you to the best doctor to care for you, and that you will get the answers and help that you need. Amber |

I found that walking much more will help lighten the period, push the period back a day or two and causes us to have less pain. So what I try to do a few days before period is to walk much more.. Hope this helps and that you are feeling better. Your pain (thigh pains, back pain etc) are just like mine and I have endo. From your description, I have to say it really looks like you have endo. Maybe you can try to see an endometriosis specialist. Go to the below website to find an endo doctor in your area. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/EndoDocs/ Jeri |

You sound a lot like me- as put on the pill at 12 because of those symptoms. I did not get a real diagonses until I FINALLY had a lap at 19. I would try to get your parents to push for that. And if you are not happy with your doctor- find a different one (I had a lot of horrible ones during that time in my life-that delayed me getting the surgery). I wish had advise, but other than suggesting you read through the resources on this site, and exercise as much as you can, I don't have much. Oh, and those little stick-on heating pads really help me to be able to get about and do things I wouldn't be able to do without them-the Ace brand ones are my fav. I'll be praying that you can find the help you need and can get some releif and get back to enjoying life!! (((hugs))) |
