God Is Good!!!
I know that you all know this already, but He really helped me out yesterday and I wanted to share. Long story, so I'll try to condense it. This week is revival at church - my husband is the pastor so he has been busy with the revival speaker and visitation - plus church members in the hospital etc. So I've been pretty much on my own with the kids . . . and of course, they had to be sick! Mon on way to revival my 8 yr son had a low grade fever and we had to stop for tylenol on the way . . . but he woke with fever on Tue so no school. I went to work am, and was planning to take him to doc pm, but my husband thought he was fine. (Plus he was waiting around on the ac repairman - yeah no ac plus I've got a horrid rash that itches much more when I'm hot!) Anyway - I came home and didn't take him to doc, and no fever so off we go to the revival again. Wed I sent him to school, but he complained of headache and didn't do too well with his work. No fever so we went to revival again, but Wed night he was still feeling bad and had fever again so I decided to take him to the doc on Thur no matter what. Now I know why he was having so much trouble at school - he has both ears infected and a sinus infection. So on the way home from doc on Thurs (trying to get back for the revival, because he's not contagious) I talked to my mom who was watching my 1yr daughter . . .she says "I hate to tell you this, but I think Madi is getting an infection in her eye!" Thanks mom! I guess I'll go to doc again tomorrow!!! Well, my mom takes her on to revival, but only makes it through song service because her eye gets worse and worse and she is fussy! (And in meantime my son and I go home - don't make to revival after all.) So mom brings her home and I take one look and call docs triage line . . . and nurse says she needs to be seen . . . we take off and drop my son with my dad and my mom rides with us for the 1hr and 15min drive to barely get to the urgent care before they close . . .we get drops we go home and Fri am she wakes with her eye almost swollen closed . . . So I call the peds office and get her a 2 o'clock and he says "I don't know what to do . . . it could be cellulitus, we may need to get her to the after hours clinic for iv fluids . . ." He makes a couple of calls and comes back to send us across town to a opthamologist. . . Who is closed on Fri, but is in his office and is waiting on us to come. He gives me the card and I'm on my way . . . then I stopped to read it . . ."His Vision for Children, Caring for the eyes of God's littlest creations" He is a Christian!!! Wow! Well, I get to his office and start getting Madi out of the car and I can already see her eye is better. He did check her out and said it was just a bad case of pink eye or conjunctivitis and she would probably take a week or so to get over it . . . but she didn't need to go to the hospital or anything drastic! Whew! I was getting pretty worried. Well, even better - she woke up with no swelling this morning and very little redness . . .Not only did God provide just the right doctor at just the right time to calm my fears, He also healed her up too!!! I know this is long and probably confusing and disjointed, but I just wanted to share how God has helped me this week . . . a very crazy week. (And to end it all my hubby is now gone for the day to a golf tournament . . . yes it is for charity for an orphanage we support, but I am sure tired!!! and I'd really like him to be around to help! Oh well, he prob wouldn't be much help anyway!) Oh and the doc sent me off with another copy of his business card and he wrote his home phone on it too!!! God is soooo good!!! |

yes...He is! I love how when everything is going crazy around us, God can make everything okay again. No one else can even come close....He is everything. hope your kids get better and you have a moment to rest...lol |
