The following question was part of a form response from a " Jerry"
Under "Further Reading" on the International Primal Association webpage, I found this article: The Seven Stages of Primal Therapy by Stephen K. Witty, Ph.D. and Stephen K. Khamsi, Ph.D. In the section "Stage 7. Disengagement", I found this sentence;
"In therapy, she begins to focus more on current feelings, although old feelings now tend to be deeper and more terrifying than ever."
What does it mean to say that old feelings are deeper and more terrifying than ever? What is one supposed to do about them? Isn't that what this therapy gets you in touch with? I don't get it.
Thank You,
Jerry
To Jerry,
Not sure what they are referring to either..any STRONG CURRENT FEELINGS ARE THE OLD DEEPER FEELINGS THAT ARE RESURFACING IN ORDER TO BE " PROCESSED".. THE ONLY THING TO DO ABOUT THEM IS TO GO INTO PROCESS AND FEEL THEM,EXPERIENCE THEM ...
Jerry.. Would appreciate post any questions or responses to this forum. thank you..
