Sea Turtle Evacuee Returns To New Orleans 'King Midas' Evacuated To Texas POSTED: 5:59 am PDT October 14, 2005 UPDATED: 6:07 am PDT October 14, 2005 NEW ORLEANS -- One Hurricane Katrina evacuee that's nearly 300 pounds and green is back home in New Orleans. "King Midas" the sea turtle is one of the most popuplar attractions at the Aquarium of the Americas. He arrived back in New Orleans on Thursday after spending more than a month at a Galveston, Texas, aquarium. King Midas plunged back into his 400,000-gallon Gulf of Mexico exhibit with much fanfare. A number of sea animals were evacuated from the aquarium in the aftermath of Katrina. Unfortunately, the Audubon Aquarium did lose most of its animals in its aquatic exhibits.
