Henry Smith and family

I am looking for information on my Henry Smith ( which is like looking for a needle in a haystack :). I have found him in the 1870 census, 1880 census and the 1900 census in Howard Township in Washington Co.

I think he was married more than once...the 1870 census has him as 38, with childern Rosetta (6) Sarah A (4) and William(1).

In the 1880 census he is wil wife Anna E ( 29), Rosetta (16) Sarah A (14) William (12, Mary C...stepdaughter (9), Oliver T (6) George W (4) and Delilia E (2)

In the 1900 census his was living in Washington Co with two other sons, Daniel R, age 16 ...this is my line, and Cleveland age 18.

Since it appears that Henry was living here for a number of years as a farmer I'm looking for some help with this family.

In the 1880 census his parents are listed as being born in NC...if that is any help with the SMITH'S.

Thanks so much for the help!

Re: Henry Smith and family

Hi Susan,

Is this Henry Smith the son of Joel R. Smith and Elizabeth Miller? If so, I believe he was the last person to be interred at the Smith Miller Cemetery. Henry F. Smith has the last grave stone placed there.
