I have recently upgraded to windows 2000 and noticed that there was an error on my website and because of it i would get an error message that said runtime error occured, do you want to debug? if you click yes the computer locks up and if you say no you can continue on but the error message comes up everytime. I fixed my page so it doesn't happen anymore but it happens on so many other pages and i obviously don't have access to the html to fix it. Is there a way to deactive the program that detects these errors. Thanks
This error message is being caused by a setting in your Internet Options in Internet Explorer. Select Internet Options from the Tools menu, then click on the Advanced tab on the very right. Then make sure the "Disable Script Debugging" check box is checked. It is located in the Browsing section, near the beginning of the long list of options. That eliminates this annoying error message from appearing again.
