Re: Re: some body help meeeeeee

Hi,

After being in the workforce for a number of years, I found one major thing to be true that I'd like to pass on to you.

There are A LOT of people in this country that are wealthy, but go to work every day doing a job that they hate. At their company retirement party, they always wind up saying something like, "God I wish that I had gone into field back when I was younger. I've wasted my life!"

Don't look for finacial gains to be the only base for your 40-45 years of employed life. It's just too much time to waste. Find something you really enjoy, and then find a way to make money at it. You'll be much happier in the long run.

A rule of thumb that I've heard over the years, that wound up being true with me, is this:

Figure out what you had the most fun doing about the time you were in junior high school. There's a good chance that this would be a great area to have for a career for yourself.

Remember, you can find a way to become wealthy in any profession in which you have the joy and desire to become a master.

Have a happy life!

- Dave

PS: Some computer scientists do get well paid. A lot of it depends on where you want to live, and what kind of a career path you decide on once you become a computer scientist. If you really enjoy computers, go for it. You can fine tune your career path, as you learn more about the different areas of computers; networking, programming, ecommerce, etc.

Good luck!!!
