Sad thing is that the revolutionary youth have had a perfectly reasonable transition plan prepared for months but no-one either inside or outside Yemen seems interested in what they have to propose. Everything seems to hinge on the GCC's plan which inevitably involves Saudi and other Arab states having some sort of control.
The US are paranoid about Al-qaida, who, from all reports from people "inside" are really not that big an issue and who are so hated, and would probably be well enough controlled, by the Yemeni's themselves as to be almost a non-issue.
