Hi everyone, was wandering into memories of Little Aden last night whilst enjoying a few 'wets' and it came to mind that I cannot remember who built the bungalows in Ghadir. Having lived in both a Conversion and a Reilly Newsum in Bandar Sheik they readily come to mind, as does 5 Surrey St, but who built it? I have a vivid memory of life there however this has stumped me and its driving me nuts - can anyone put a 68 year olds mind to rest?
Regards to everyone
Roddy
Hi Roddy, I think the houses were all kit types, shipped from the UK and assembled on site. I think they were called Superlites etc. Maybe the spelling denotes an American connection. Regards Jonathan W

Yes, you are the man! Of course they were called Superlites, just couldn't get hold of the memory, many thanks for reminding me of the name of such a great bungalow, the testament to which is that it is still standing!!

We used to live in the semi-detached houses in the colony right before the Airport in Khormaksar during 1969 to 1972. Our house was solidly built and even today that colony is seen in Google Earth images.
Many many memories are existing around those blocks of houses.
Hi Gordon, long time no hear from. Hope your doing well. Was the house you lived in in Ghadur stone built?. I can remember it being a 2 story building.
