For many years, men have always been on the hunt for a female companion. In our quest to find the perfect mate, we use a number of techniques in order to persuade her into falling for our charm, making us feel a bit arrogant about ourselves when it works. Like fishing, who ever uses the best lures greater their chances at catching the BIG ONE (beautiful, fine, and smart), better known as a keeper, the one you would like to take home and show off. Many like to stuff it and hang it on the wall to display as a trophy (trophy wife), as a testament to all of the hard work it took to catch her (oops, I meant it). But on the contrary, little did we know, women also have certain times of the year they set out to hunt for their mate. Yes, women come out to hunt during certain times of the year, it all depends on what season they're in. Incase you didn't know, allow me to introduce you to the," Hunting Seasons Calendar".
(Keep in mind that every one is different, depending on her situation, determines on how and when she hunts)
June - July: Hunting season usually starts during these months( depending on if she has kids), after partying and having fun in the sun she realizes it's time to gear up and set out to find the next victim. If nobody has taken notice to her good looks and fine physique during any of the many functions she's attended, she knows that 4th of July is right around the corner and there's bound to be a prospect at the big event. Mind you, school starts within a month or so and if someone is going to help out with school supplies (clothes, shoes, backpacks, etc.), she needs to home in on someone real soon. If she meets someone in time, her main objective is to make him feel like a king for the next few weeks in hopes that during the process he will grow fond of her child (kids). In turn he would feel obligated during back-to-school shopping.
September - end of November(I.e. Thanksgiving): After the school rush, mind you, she's a bit tired so she takes a little break to rest, if she hasn't scored the right one yet, but if she has met someone there's a series of test she will put him through to see if he's " The One". If she's still with him after school started then perhaps he helped out financially with the school shopping (1st test). Now she has until Thanksgiving to bring one home or see if the current one is worth bringing home. Remember Christmas is right around the corner also, but I'll get to that in a min. During the fall/winter months everyone starts to bunker down for the cold weather and if you don't have anyone to bunker with, this can be a very lonely time for women. You may catch her still in relax mode around Labor Day because she knows she still have a little time before the next major holiday. If she hasn't found anyone by Halloween the search starts to intensify, because if she planning on showing up to Thanksgiving dinner, it's best she arrive with someone. Taking someone home to meet the family (or her kids) means alot to her, so he must pass the pre-exam with a high score. The initial part of the hunting season has come to a close. Now it's time to work on the catch and see if he's worth keeping.
December - January: After Thanksgiving she starts expressing how special he is to her, because only someone special can meet the family for Thanksgiving dinner. At this point we're starting to feel exclusively hers and really want to empress her, so automatically we start planning on how to make our first Christmas together memorable. (Bing! 2nd test) If the gifts are good enough she'll keep you around for New Years Eve. Sticking to tradition, who ever you bring the New Year in with is the one you're supposed to be with. By this time she's claiming you as her man, knowing this will stroke our inflatable ego(gotcha).
January - February: Well, now that you're officially her man now, lets see how well you do on the most important holiday of them all... "Valentine's Day". Remember, she has been bragging to friends and family about how wonderful you are, so you BETTER pass this test with flying colors.
February - April: For Valentine's Day she gave you the best loving allowed on this side of a porno flick. This will keep you around long enough for Easter and if she has kids, outfits and Easter baskets are on the shopping list for you. Showing up to church together on Easter Sunday is equivalent to New Years Eve in her eyes. Guess what, you have a new family now.
May - June: Last but not least, Mother's Day. Like I said before, if she has kids, which is now your kids, you have no choice but to celebrate the mother of YOUR new kids(Bingo). If you past the various test throughout hunting season, you are now officially her man. But if you failed any of the test poorly (depending of which season it occurred) she will leave you, run to her friends for comfort and begin preparing for summer. The start of a new hunting season. Now, think back to when you and your girlfriend or wife first

I never regarded it that way, but I probably do not have your experience.

Goes to show, that we humans are still ruled by our basic instincts. Despite all our sophistication a lot of us still have the same targets as most animals; it is just covered up under all that cultivation. And especially females are experts at covering up their tracks.

Would make an interesting documentary : "The reproductive efforts of the human species from a behavioral point of view". Would surely reveal some surprising things.
