I have been watching videos on youtube and visiting websites and it truly is astounding what has already been achieved. Your calculations on the potential market were very interesting, and on one level is encouraging, there seems to be every probability that this is a market they are looking to open up as soon as possible and as you say hopefully this will mean that the price will come down.
I am a freelance theatre practitioner and am currently putting together a performance with a guy called Zak who is a wheelchair user. The show explores the relationship we have and are developing with robot and android technology from the Zak's perspective. I am intending to contact some of the exoskeleton manufacturers. Have you had any contact with them and if so did you find them helpful?

Yes, I have been in contact with most of the Exoskeleton manufacturers. I contacted them when I was creating the website. Interestingly, some have been very receptive and helpful. Some have reacted with suspicion. I guess they could not understand what my motives are. But it is understandable because they are all young companies and most do not really understand the power of public relations. They are being bombarded with requests and have little manpower to handle it all. As they mature and get more interested in increasing their sales, they will become more receptive to all kinds of contacts and will develop the channels for that.

However, I encourage you to contact them with your requests. Some will answer you and be helpful. Others will ignore you or not be very helpful. Come back and let us know what your results were.
