Ok, first, u need a good horse. The hardest thing i found when first starting 2 canter was finding a horse who had a good fluid motion i could learn 2 work w/. The second hardest thing i thought, was breathing. No matter what u do... BREATH IN, BREATH OUT!!!!!!!! As 4 the reins slipping through ur hands, work ur cantering on a longe line so u can tie ur reins in a knot and leave them on his neck w/out fear of him running away! That's all i can tell u rite now. If u could post back telling me ur specific problems i could help u a lot more but that's all 4 now!

I can't canter to save my life!! I am finding it really
difficult to go round the school in a straight line I have to put my hand on the front of the saddle and my reins slip through my hands and I relly need help as I feel like an Idiot!!!
