Too heavy?

hi,
recently i have been riding an 11.2h pony for a friend to give it some exersise. Its only once a week but it is usually a 2 hour+ hack and we do some canters. I weigh 7.6 stone am i too heavy for it?
my friend says not but sometimes i feel sorry for its little legs
please, any views on this would be appreciated
thanks becky

p.s its a welsh section A/ mountain pony if it makes a difference

Re: Too heavy?

Hiya , really it depends on how slim they are , if the horse is quite coby then you are probrably allright , but if it is naturally skinny then you probrably want to think about stopping riding him.

Re: Re: Too heavy?

hi
thanks for your reply i didn't think i'd ever get one.
he is quite cobby, he has to have an extra wide saddle and it took them ages to get the correct fit! i think i'll be alright for a while but i'll keep an eye on him
thanx
