I was a fire direction chief at the battalion level and participated in every battalion level operation. I don't recall any battalion level awards. I do remember that one battery received a citation when it was operating independely of the battalion on one operation. I think it might have been A battery. They fired so many rounds one night that that they ruined several gun barrels.
