trying to find any info on the 4th battalion 30th infantry

Hello,

I am trying to find any information at all about the following Platoon:

1st Platoon Company C of the 4th Battalion, 30th Infantry of the 25th Division.

I am preparing some research for a WWII Veteran who served from 1943 to 1945 in New Caledonia and the Philippines. He received the Purple Heart. I would like to be prepared when conducting his interview later this summer.

Any help would be appreciated.
