Just wanted someone to know that on June 18th, 2005 at The Freedom Run in Joliet IL, I was given a memory dog tage of SPC Jeremiah W. Schmunk, fallen hero of 1st Battalion, 161st Infantry Regiment, Washington Army National Guard. He died at age 21, on July 8th, 2004. I know this, because I decided to research this fallen hero of whom I honor by wearing this dog tag today. I am thankful for this Ultimate Sacrifice so that other's may live in Freedom. Know that even when years pass, a life given in service to this country is never forgotten. From one Vet to another, I thank you, Jeremiah.
