My father was a member of the 25th during peacetime, post Korea pre Vietnam. Just a note for anyone who served with Ronald D. Porter of Effingham, Il. He passed away from a sudden heart attack on May 19th. He always smiled when he spoke of his time with the 25th and was planning a trip back to Hawaii when he passed. Thank you for making my father who he was. I am forever grateful. He was a man of great honor and quiet leadership. We will definitely miss him.
