Looking for any information on Larry W. Massone. Enlisted Aug. 1941, stationed at Schofield, saw action New Georgia, Luzon with the 25th, not sure which battalion. Out-processed as E-4 or E-5. Came into the outfit as a BAR gunner, but spent most of his time carrying an M1, then transferred to mail censorship. Got a Purple Heart taking out a pillbox on New Georgia. He's sort of an adoptive grandfather to me, but doesn't remember details of much of his service. Any recollections/info anyone has would be appreciated beyond words.
