Above soldier served with C co.ist Bn 27th inf Wolfhounds 25th id kia 3/26/69 hor Knx tn. His wife is a good friend of mine and is trying to locate anyone who served with him. she showed me a black beret in his items rtn along with a photo with him wearing the same .. no crest on beret. this is puzzling to me as i l knw the history of most berets and units authed to wear. not been able to determine if the wolfhounds were authed to were and why. plan to leave it at the wall this nov on 30th anniversary. I am current board member of VVA203 Chattanooga tn. Thanks for any help
