Captain William Douglas Baker, 89th Artillery Battalion, KIA Luzon

My father's first cousin was William Douglas Baker, known as Douglas to his family and friends. He was born in Stamford, Texas and was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma. On 24 February 1945 Douglas was killed in action at Digdig, Luzon, the Philippines while serving as a Captain with the 89th Artillery Battalion. I would like to make contact with anyone who served with that unit in World War Two. I am also looking for any detailed written history of the unit. If anyone has a photo of William Douglas Baker that would be greatly appreciated.
