American Civil War

A wonderful site, well improved on the first one I stumbled across years ago.
I use to be a member with The 1st Maryland Regiment and had so many memories, alas I moved away and lost contact with them.
I have visited Gettysburg and Manassas battlefields along following the regiment’s battles at Winchester, Front Royal and Harpers Ferry.
If anyone remembers me, I would love to hear from him or her.
Keep up the work AND "keep your powder dry"
I am trying to write a book about these battles too so your site has given me new sources to take on board too. Thank you

Wonderful site! I am glad to see the interest in what we call the War Between the States here in the South. My great, great grandfather was a Lt in the 57th Tennesse Infantry. I too am a re-enactor like y'all, except we get to use the original battlefields.
