Back in the 30's in New Waterford, there had been a business called "Coronation Tea Room" or "Coronation Tea House". Has anyone ever heard of that business and also, would anyone have a photo of that particular restaurant? I do not know where it was located in New Waterford nor how long it operated. Does anyone know? |

My house where I was brought up was 14 Catherine st on the corner of May st. so I am familiar with the graveyard, My dad's mother and sister are there, My mom's parents The Destobels are there and my Unkle & Aunt Destobels are there. I was wondering if there is a map with locations on that I could pass on to my sons ? I just recently buried my dad's ashes in Forest Haven. 29 May 2011. |

Looking at the excellent pictures of Fort Petrie you have posted makes me feel like I visited there just last week rather than 7 years ago. I recall Fort Petrie as a historic place populated by really nice people. |

Mrs & I rode our Harley motorcycles to tour Nova Scotia. We were there for about 1 1/2 weeks. Rode thru New Brunswick into NS stayed in Amherst, Halifax, Lunenburg, Halifax, Baddeck (2 nites) (Rode the Cabot Trail), Sydney(2 nites) & rode thru New Waterford on our way to Louisbourg to "Storm the Fortress". Rode from Sydney to Royal Annapolis for last night. Went to Digby & caught ferry to St. John, New Brunswick. Enjoyed our visit to NS very much, just wish we had been ablr to stay longer! |
