I met Joan in a gas station in OK. Was a very meaningful visit for me.

Joan - I asked you to pray for me and you said you would. I promised I would let you know I made it safely to California. Well, I did and I didn't. I am fine, but I totaled my motorcycle on the freeway 6.5 miles from the finish of my journey. My rear tire blew and the bike went out of control. I did the best I could to control it and move off the road. I almost made it too. I was thrown from the bike and she went sliding down the road. I have some bumps and bruises, but no real damage. I am VERY blessed and I believe that your prayers, as well as those of others helped me when I needed it most! Thank you! I flew home on Sunday and am feeling better every day. But now I ask you to pray for the families of several friends and acquantances who have sudden and expected loss - Pam K (brain anuerism -sp?) Steve W (22 y o son committed suicide) Ken M (killed in a motorcycle accident in NE), Ken M (severely injured in NV but expected to recover, Mike B (24 yo cousin sommitted suicide). John C (severely injured in a motorcycle accident in NY) and Rob J (injured in a motorcycle accident in AZ - Rob hit a mountainlion!!!)

Thank you for taking the time to talk to me. I think you and I spoke about how much protective gear I wear - I'm now the walking example of why it's so important!
