My first visit to this excellent website.
I went to this school from 1969 to 1971.
Anyone remember this boys school at Steamer Point. We used to live in the Khormaksar service apartments and take the city bus to school and back. I could even spot the house (I think) from a photo in the album by Tariq.

Both my uncles Mr Ismail Matar & Mahmood Matar both went to St Joseph;s High School from 1955 - end of 1956. Last February 2013 my family members in Aden found old school examinations records from the Ministry of Education office MOE) in Aden - the exams was called Terminal Examinations it took 4 months find records but to see the smile of my uncles faces was worth it.

ST Josephy;s High School GCE records are still in the UK after more then 50 years.

But the MOE records sections is in a very bad way - that's why it took 4 months and legal department had confirm records to be true - and also need need a stamp from both the MOE and Ministry of Foreign Affairs MFA) Aden office. Whole FEE cost 100 USD for search MOE) if the records are found or not) MFA stamp cost 50 USD and DHL to UK cost 60 USD. For me and my family it was not about the money 210 USD nothing when find old historical records. MOE office in Sana'a was surprised old British Records was MOE office in Aden. I also sent them copies of the record.

Also i found a bishop in Abu Dhabi confirm the records to, it was Catholic Church Arabia that was in charge Schools and Church in Aden.

I went to St. Joseph's High School in Aden but that was not located in Steamer Point. It was in Crater, Aden. The Catholic School in Steamer Point was St. Anthony's High School.

I passed out from St. Joseph's in 1964 and did my GCE 'O' level there
