Guess I'm the newest member of this group. To give my background,
I'm a semi qualified Chartered Accountant from ICAI, India and have been working on global payroll (India, US and few European countries) for last 8-9 years.

Planning to appear in CPP exam March / April next year.

I'm sure that will be useful to you all and get your support.

I was in the Thursday evening group.

YAHOO! I took my test this morning and I passed.

Thanks so much to all of the teachers (especially Raeann) for their guidance and patience. It is simply amazing that they are willing to volunteer time to provide such access to your experience and knowledge. I can't even begin to tell you how valuable the Online Study Group was to me.

What a terrific day!

I can't say enough good things about this study group. It was well organized and the gobs of material they provide is priceless. The chat sessions were very informative and the instructors were always willing to answer any Q's or dig further into a tough subject. I HIGHLY recomend this to anyone.
Thank you so much!!!

I was in the Wed nite group with Dawn, JJ and Sherry. They were great! Always encouraging us and willing to answer any question. As were all the words of inspiration you (Raeann) sent. I kept those emails on my cell phone and reread them every day the week before I took the test.

Just a few thoughts. The last 3 plus months went by very quickly. As someone said at the beginning, you'll get out of the study group what you put into it. What an honest statement!! I dedicated 1.5 to 3 hours per day or evening (except Friday nite hockey games :)) to studying. Both from the Payroll Souce and all of the study aids sent by you or Dusty. The information was right on.

I took the test on Friday, April 30 in San Antonio after attending the 201 class. I scored a 426! The 201 class was the first time in 3 years my employer has been able to let me attend any training classes so I took full advantage.

Thanks to everyone. You guys rock!

I want to thank all of the instructors for your help. I took the CPP exam last week. I used the materials you distributed (lesson plans, quizes and chapter tests) to create flash cards. I reviewed them over and over and over. It worked. I'm now a CPP. I could not have acheived this milestone without all of your help. Thanks so much for everything!

Dusty & Raeanne: I want to thank the two of you for creating the online study group. Thanks to you, Sherry, Dawn and Jeannie my Wed. night teachers, I reached my goal of becoming a CPP on Thursday. One would think that after doing payroll for 25+ yrs, you would know it all. NOT, there is so much more. I hit a few bumps on my way, but I didn't give up and the support from all of you was wonderful. Once again Thank all of you and I hope to give back to others what you all have given to me. Lauren

Hi Raeann & Dusty!

I took the KAC Thursday night before the test on Friday... not a good idea. I scored a 58% on the KAC so I was more than a little nervous going into the exam on Friday morning. But when all was said and done... and I had just over 9 minutes to spare I hit finish and waited impatiently for my score. The proctor finally got my exam to come through and I PASSED!!! Wow was that a weight off my shoulders.

Thank you so much for the wonderful sessions, they were a huge help in my succeeding in this endeavor! The pieces that helped me the most were the review of information and ability to discuss difficult parts in more detail. Also the practice tests and quizzes each week were very insightful. Keep up the great work, tips, & tricks... I couldn't have done it without you!

I passed!!!!! I got a 322. Not the score I was aiming for but I am not going to argue with the word "pass" on the test results. It is a good feeling and I actually cried when the lady handed me the results. I was so unsure because it seemed like all my questions were on the subjects I was most uncomfortable with.

So......from the bottom of my heart I would like to thank you all for your help. Especially you Chris as I mainly attended the Sunday night class with only one night missed. Thank you Raeanne as your class was there to help me catch up from the Sunday night I missed.

I think it is a great thing you guys do by donating your time to us students.

Thanks again,

Angelique Chambers, CPP

Hello all - I passed the test today now I can finally breathe. I scored a 336.

A big thank you to the other students for bringing up questions I didn't think of and for your help with reference points so I was able to research unfamiliar topics more thoroughly.

Mostly I want to thank all the teachers especially Chris for your help with my success as there were many questions on the exam that I would not have answered correctly if it weren't for your hints.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your time and most of all for your kind words giving me the confidence that I could do this.

Susan Renkar, CPP

It's so great adding those letters after my name.

Hi Chris!

I passed with a score of 381! I just wanted to thank you and the other instructors for selflessly devoting so much of your time to support all of us in this endeavor. For those of us who do not have a flexible enough schedule to attend these classes in person, this online class is priceless! You offered so many useful study tips and tricks that you can't obtain from just reading the book. In my exam I had every single one of the "memory tip" questions and was able to answer them without hesitation. Although we were not allowed to "brain dump" before we launched the exam, developing the 1-page summary and reviewing it right before I went in did the the trick!

Thank you for your wit and sense of humor. You made learning some very (very) dry and boring material fun as well as memorable! I couldn't have made it without YOU!

Kind Regards,

Cindy Murakami, CPP

Thank you, Raeann, Denize, Dusty, Jeannie, Linda, Sherry and Susan (I hope I didn't leave anyone out) for your dedication to the group, always being supportive and offering encouragement while passing along your collective knowledge.

You all were instrumental in my attaining the CPP and it was a great experience for me. I found the chapter summaries very helpful as well as the quizzes and additional materials. And, I took every review test that you had posted, including the 175 question one. I even took the Payroll Source on my vacation!!!!

At the NJ Statewide Conference, I attended a session where a question came up regarding studying for the CPP exam. Of course, I told everyone about the on-line group. A number of people wanted more information. I couldn't stop praising the group, saying how great you all are, so the moderator -Bob Wagner of the APA - asked me to email him the and he forwarded the information to everyone in his session. You should be getting a lot of NJ students soon!!!!!

Congratulations to all the new CPP's and FPC's. We did it!!!!!!!!!!

Regards,
Patti Williams, CPP

ps - I took the exam on October 1st and when I went to work on Monday, I put my results on my manager's desk. Then he came out of his office and made a general announcement to my co-workers. Later that day, we had a cake to celebrate my achievement. I still can't stop smiling!!!! I am my company's first CPP payroll manager.

Thank you, again.

Thanks again Rae, and all the CPP's who give there time and energy to these groups. It really was a great way to study. I used your posted material much more than the Payroll Source. It was easier to carry around some printed material than to lug that book around! I had joined a local study group that meets in person back in the winter, and didn't like it. I left that group and joined your internet group this summer. The internet group gives you more flexibility. The format of your printed summaries and the tips you gave were really helpful. The suggestion to take a break during the test was very helpful also, clears the mind. I could go on and on!

Great group!

Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of such a dynamic group. It was an interesting experience and a learned an awful lot in such a short time. I was particularly impressed with how comprehensive the information was that we received each week and how prepared the group leaders were. Not to mention the support that I received during and after the test….kudos to Andrea and Denise.

I actually looked forward to the Thursday night chat sessions each week, now I don’t know what to do with all my free time but you can rest assure I will find something to fill that void. I would be happy to provide references if needed.
