DeGrassi - She made everyone's imagination come to life even if their imagination was not so imaginative. I had no art sense at all.

General Comments:

I just wanted to wish all of the 1976 graduates and their families a Happy Thanksgiving and a Wonderful Holiday Season from the Huffakers here in Sunny Zephyrhills, Florida!

We moved to Zephyrhills, Florida over a year ago so that my husband could fix watches for a company down here. Since we had never been to Florida, we are here now. I have been lifeguarding, teaching water aerobics, and going to school to work on my Human Services AS and then eventually a BS in Socialwork. They have some really big schools down here. Otherwise every thing is just tooling along. Miss everyone lots.

Karen Duncan (Distributive Education) She was one of only a few teachers at MHHS, along with Jennifer deGrassi, who allowed students to call her by her first name

I can't believe that it has been 28 years since graduation. Where has the time flown? In '76, I moved to Boise and attended Boise State University. Then in '78 I went to work for what is now known as Qwest. (Remember Mountain Bell?) In '84, with the breakup of the Bell System, my department became part of AT&T. 1986, I decided I needed a change of pace from living in Boise, so I elected to take a job transfer with AT&T to Portland, OR. I had been to Portland a number of times before moving there and I absolutely fell in love with the city. After doing a number of different positions within the AT&T organization, the Company decided to close the tech office I had been working in and consolidate it with an office in Dallas, TX. So, in '99, off to the Lone Star State I went ! After being in Dallas for 2 years, again another office closure! Telecommuncations is not the steady field that it used to be. Since I had invested quite a bit of time so far with AT&T , I decided to take a job in the Land of 10,000 Lakes (Minnesota). This year, I will be celebrating 25 years with AT&T. While Minnesota is a good state, it doesn't compare with the Pacific Northwest, so eventually I would like to retire from AT&T in about 5 years and move back.

General Comments:

I think that it is awesome that this class maintains a web-site, my class at Gulfport MS has nothing like this. Whoever maintains this for yall should be congratulated for doing such a good job. I have looked at this site for over a year and just decided to leave a note, I have the military affliction of forgetting and not staying in touch with friends once you leave a place. Just wanted to say hello to the people who remember me would really enjoy hearing from yall. I was in Mountain Home in 1999 for several days my wife and daughter wanted to see Idaho since I talk about living there alot! Hopefully in the near future we will return to the area.

Finished high school at Gulfport MS. Attended several colleges before entering Pharmacy School at Ole Miss. Graduated in 1985 (spent first few years of college wasting time instead of applying myself) I worked for a chain for 5 years and then bought my own drugstore. It is located in Petal Mississippi. I have owned it since May 1990 and I love being my own boss and being a pharmacist. I married a wonderful girl name Pam in 1981, still together and happy after all these years. I have 1 daughter named Skylar who is 11 years old and the light of my life.

Mrs. Mink by far and above all others she inspired me. Don't know why particularly. Only year I received an "A" in english. Enjoyed her so much I worked at NOT getting kicked off campus.

General Comments:

It has been nice to peruse the MHHS web site. See some familiar names.... the pictures (I'm holding up pretty well there).

Tell us about your life since you left MHHS.

Well... tenth grade was my last full year of High school. Some of it was spent at MHHS, the remainder in a small HS in southern Oregon. I started hitch-hiking all over the western US... met a lot of wonderful people, my share of weirdos too. Got my G.E.D. '75 at TVCC in Oregon... 2 months later joined the Army... 5 days after my 17th birthday (would have been going into my Senior year). The old man signed the age waiver and it was off to playing soldier.

I spent 5 years in Germany and it was there I met the love of my life... Rosemarie... She 'smiled a little smile for me' and I've been infatuated since. Stayed with the Army for 7 years... couldn't handle it anymore and left. We moved to Boise and we have been living in the greater Boise area since.

I attended BSU off and on for seveal years.. have an associates degree and enough credits to sink a battle ship. Amazingly, Rosemarie (a resident alien who refuses American citizenship) gets 2 bachelor's in 5 years!! the gal's awesome.

We have a son and daughter, Marcel and Monique. Marcel will be a Senior this fall at Rochestor Institute of Technology, upstate New York. Great kid... nothing like his 'smoking.. drinking... cussing' old man. Genuine decent boy... like Mark Schillar... smart, kind, and funny. Monique on the other hand is a chip off the 'ol block. She's a sparkplug full of spit and vinegar. Wonderfully sensitive, funny, and heart of gold. Sounds like a paradox I know... but that's her. She's going to be a 5th grader this year and I'm very much in love with her.

Well... I guess this has turned into a bit more than I intended. Yes... one of my faults or blessings (depending on your point of view) is I tend to be a bit melancholy... and wax forever on this wonderful life. I have been fortunate though... and I am happy too.

I hope to see some of you sometime.. shake a hand... get a hug... drink a toast to our good fortune!!!

Who was your favorite teacher? Why? <30 words

Mrs. Baron- She encouraged me at a time when there was poverty in my life of every sort. My life was indeed enriched as a result of her influence.

General Comments:

I am a born-again believer in Jesus Christ. I am
ministering the gospel of Christ through the arts (music and literature). It is my desire to touch the lives of those around me and to be a faithful steward of all that God has blessed my life with. By the way, I found out that evolution is nonsense and I didn't come from a monkey but was created in the image of God.
The National Education Association should be throughly ashamed for endorsing this damnable heresy concocted by Darwin.

Tell us about your life since you left MHHS.

I have been playing music for the glory of God. I have been writing of those things that God has placed upon my heart. I am currently in a progressive Christian rock band called Day. Our Web Site is forthcoming. Stay tuned.
(15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.)
Psa. 139:15,16
