1st Tandem jump to 1st Solo jump ?

Hi all,

Having completed my 1st Tandem skydive last year I'm really interested to know just how petrifying your 1st 'solo' jump is having completed a solo course?

As terifying and exhilerating as my jump was I cant imagine how frightening it must be to have to bail out alone and pull your own rip cord, not only that but to get your bearings, navigate and fly the canopy down to the ground in one piece ALONE ?!....

How much practice and nerve do you need for this exactly ?

P.S. my skydive is here.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zaJ_nZjrkGY&feature=BF&list=ULHchgUu6DzzQ&index=1

Thanks

Mike

First tandem jump was in August 2009. It scared the crap out of me but I loved it. Now I want to take it a step further and learn to skydive. I am 56 years old and skydiving appears to be a sport for the young. I would love to talk with someone who is older and learning or someone who started skydiving when they were older. I would hate to start the process and find out I can't do it. Thanks so much.
