My daughter is in the Army and she is stationed in S. Korea. I am planning on visiting her in Feb 2012. I hope to be there when my first grandson arrives I have my passport and my plane ticket. I have also made a Doctors appointment to get my shots. Am I missing anything? This will be my first time out of the country and I want to be prepared when I land in Korea. I am so proud of my soldier!!!! It is nice to finally find a spot for moms. Yes, Spouses are very important but sometimes the Army forgets about us moms. So good to see a positive site geared toward what we experience as mothers of soldiers. Keep up the good work!!!

My daughter has joined the air force she is a 2d lt. She will be stationed in England at Lakenheath, I'm having a hard time letting go, wish she was being stationed closer. I'm very proud of her just need to be more pro active....................................

My son has been active duty Army since 2002. He has been to South Korea twice, but will be deploying to Afghanistan within the next few months. I'm from a military family so I understand it and I'm okay with it, but I'm afraid I may meltdown from time to time after he leaves. Is there a chat group I can join?

Our eldest son, who is 18 years old, is leaving tomorrow for Basic Training for the Air Force. I am both proud but very sad as he is the sunshine of my life and always has been since he's been a baby! I am sad I won't be able to be around him as much anymore! I also worry about this stupid war in the mideast which I feel can't be "won" unless those countries want to fix their own problems too.

part of our brigade were the first to receive these boots during our first deployment.moms donated what seemed like hundreds to our guys before they deployed.a buddy of mine said that danner told the mom group if they didnot charge the full asking price to the soldiers they were going to shut them down.moms refused to.i emailed the group asking if this were true they basically said i needed to call danner.they were pretty tight lipped so my guess is that it is true. i won't be buying from danner again
